Student Representative Council (SRC) Training Workshop

On the 7th August 2025, IDM brought together members of the Student Representative Council (SRC) from Gaborone and Francistown Campuses for a workshop at Marang hotel.

The workshop was designed to build leadership capacity, enhance teamwork, and strengthen the ability of SRC members to effectively represent and serve the student body.

Through engaging sessions, participants explored key areas such as leadership & teamwork skills, effective communication & advocacy, conflict resolution & problem solving, ethics & inteegrity in leadership.

This joint training provided a valuable platform for SRC members to collaborate, share experiences and align on best practices for student representation across campuses.

Each year, SRC members are afforded the opportunity to learn leadership traits following their elections to office.

Acting Assistant Director, Academic and Learner Support, Keorapetse Setlhare said SRC is a key business partner in facilitating students affairs within the institution and need to be empowered to run the office efficiently.
