Prof. Rina Mokgosa is currently employed as an Associate Professor of Marketing in the Faculty of Business, at the University of Botswana. She completed her PhD in 2005 at Manchester Business School, University of Manchester, United Kingdom. Prof Makgosa has served as the Head of the Department of Marketing for a period of 6 years between 2016 and 2021 where her key responsibilities were to participate in the formulation, implementation, and evaluation of the academic policies of the University, promote academic excellence in teaching, research, and service programmes as well as provide academic leadership to the Department. She has over 26 years of experience in teaching, supervision, and examination of a wide range of courses in Marketing, International Business, Masters of Business Administration as well as PhD at the university level. Her key research areas of interest are in Consumer behaviour, Marketing strategy, Branding, Entrepreneurship and Retailing. Some of her research articles appear in indexed journals such as The International Review of Retail, Distribution and Consumer Research, Family & Consumer Sciences Research Journal, Marketing Intelligence & Planning, International Journal of Consumer Studies, Management Research Review, International Journal of Business and Emerging Markets, Global Business Review and Young Consumers and International refereed conference proceedings such as the European marketing conference, Society of Consumer Psychology Conference and Academy of Marketing Science World Marketing Congress.
