Kgopotso Ramoroka

Mr Ramoroka is the Deputy Permanent Secretary responsible for Education Support at the Ministry of Education and Skills Development (MESD), overseeing Curriculum Development and Evaluation, ICT and Media in education, Learner Support Services (Guidance & Counseling and Special Education) as well as Technical and Vocational Education and training.

He was previously at the Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Sport and Culture Development (MYSC) coordinating Policy Implementation at District level. Mr Ramoroka is the Founding Director of the Department of ICT and Media Services which was established in 2009; and previously Head of Division in the Educational Broadcasting Division at the Department of Broadcasting Services where he pioneered the Educational Television Service. He has served as a Radio Producer and Presenter.

After graduating with a Bachelor of Education (Science) Degree from the University of Botswana in 1992, he taught at Senior Secondary in the Ministry of Education. Mr Ramoroka has attended several professional development courses including Certificate in Basic Radio Production; Youth Radio Programmes Training; Work Improvement Teams Facilitation; (2002); Executive Leadership Programme; and Construction Adjudication.

He serves in the founding Council for the Botswana Open University (BOU) and the Board for the Institute of Development Management (IDM), where he has had the opportunity to Chair some of the Council/Board Committees.
