About This Course
Curriculum Development and Review course introduces participants to a wide range of theories and approaches to curriculum development. These include competency-based education and outcomes-based education. Although this course introduces such general concepts of curriculum theory and practice, it focuses primarily on the design and development of curricula. Programs and curricula should be relevant, up-to-date and aligned with their mission and vision. It is of paramount importance that programs meet the required standards, such as: socio-economic changes, address new knowledge and skills required in the subject area, keep pace with the rapid changes in technology and the market dynamics, meet national and international standards; and address feedback from stakeholders.
