Ellen Mokalake

Ellen Mokalake is a senior consultant in the Public Health Management discipline. Ellen is a nurse by profession and a public health leader, with more than 20 years’ experience in health manpower training. This includes trainings for courses such as Midwifery and allied health program that involved supervision of students in doing their research projects
She has worked as a lead local consultant for the evaluation of the strengthening of HIV/AIDS teaching in health training institutions that was done by a team of experts from the medical and dentistry university of New Jersey. She was also involved as a local lead consultant for the evaluation of the effectiveness of Evidence Based Planning which came as technical support to the districts through the Ministry Of Local Government By NASTAD. Ellen led a team of consultants in undertaking an evaluation of the UN trust fund/UNICEF –Women’s affairs department project on the intersection of violence against women and HIV and AIDS. This was an impact evaluation consultancy that followed implementation of a pilot project aimed at addressing the intersection of gender based violence and the spread of HIV and AIDS IN Botswana.
Ellen lead a team of IDM consultants in a consultancy with UNICEF-Botswana in partnership with the Ministry of Health for the implementation of the DIVA approach –diagnose, intervene, verify adjust. An approach meant to facilitate implementation of High impact interventions for the accelerated Child Survival and Development Strategy.
