INDEPENDENT TRUSTEE – THE INSTITUTE OF DEVELOPMENT MANAGEMENT PENSION FUND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
We are looking to engage the services of a qualified Independent Trustee on our Board of Trustees.
The Institute of Development Management (IDM) Pension Fund is a defined contribution pension fund registered and approved by the Non-Bank Financial Institutions Regulatory Authority (NBFIRA).
QUALIFICATIONS AND ELIGIBILITY:
The candidate should not be an employee of IDM, its subsidiaries and or related entities, nor any service provider to the Fund.
The incumbent will be responsible for:
- Working with the Trustees in achieving the objectives of the Fund.
- Actively participating in Trustee meetings in order to add value and bring innovative ideas that will assist the Fund in delivering sustainable, long-term
results to the members of the Fund.
REQUIREMENTS:
Candidate should have relevant experience and expertise in the following areas, and should fulfill the following requirements:
- Ability to understand strategic issues and accept the legal duties and responsibilities of a Trustee
- Sound knowledge of corporate governance, sufficient time and commitment to fulfill the role
- At least 5 years working experience in financial planning, actuarial and or Investment
- Well versed in pension fund and legislative issues
- The individual must be of good standing to be approved by the Regulatory Authority (NBFIRA) to be a Trustee
CANDIDATES WHO POSSESS THE FOLLOWING WILL HAVE AN ADDED ADVANTAGE:
- Previous Board membership and Trusteeship
- A professional and/or working background in financial planning, actuarial and or pension fund investment.
BOARD TENURE:
The Independent Trustee shall hold office for a three (3) year period.
