Jimmy Segomotso Kwati joined IDM in 2017 as IDM Information and Technology Manager.The mandate of IT department is to enable operations of the Institution through provision of information technology-based services required to facilitate the efficiency and effectiveness of IDM’s processes.

Mr Kwati has more than 20 years of practical experience in the field of IT business, having started his career at the University of Botswana back in 1996. He later joined Botswana Housing Corporation still within the field of Information and Communication Technology. Upon leaving BHC, Mr Kwati joined the business world as an entrepreneur, establishing Starlight Maintenance Services and PETTON Investments (Pty) Ltd as Managing Director. He also holds a position of directorship at Royal Pedigree (Pty) Ltd.

He possesses a BSc Computer Science from University of Botswana and a Post Graduate Diploma in Information Systems from Brunel University. He has actively participated in and facilitated the implementation of Change Management strategies. Mr Kwati is also a renowned public speaker, officiating at various public events.
