Course Objective: The course is designed to provide an in-depth all round understanding of Project Management at undergraduate level, enabling the
graduate to work in the projects in any field. The degree in Project Management will equip students with skills and competencies which are in high demand in Botswana and globally. The graduates will be able to contribute to the overall success of businesses by ensuring the projects are completed within the constraints of time, cost and quality. Learners will enrol for modules such as Project Management Fundamentals, Project Change Management, Project Risk and Value Management, Implementation and Control, Project/Internship. Upon completion, graduates can pursue a project management career in any sector. Building And Construction, Manufacturing, Education, Health etc.

Target Group: This degree program will be offered for those already working in project environment, who wish to pursue a career in Project Management,
and school leavers who wish to enter this emerging

Learning Outcome of the Qualification

• Demonstrate knowledge of tools, techniques, principles, practices and methodologies of Project management
• Apply knowledge of project appraisal, concepts, methods , tools and techniques in selection of right projects
• Apply knowledge of project planning to prepare a project management plan
• Demonstrate knowledge of project execution, monitoring and closure
• Apply knowledge of procurement principles and procedures
• Implement Monitoring and evaluation procedures for projects
• Apply knowledge of IT applications in Project Management
• Demonstrate knowledge of Project Management to investigate a problem

Minimum requirements

• NCQF Level 7 certificate and a credit in English, Mathematics and Science subjects.

Formative assessment (40%)

Course work component of the modules shall be assessed by continuous assessment (CA). This totals 40% for the CA.

Summative assessment (60%)

Modules shall be assessed by Course work, Research Project and a final examination paper for each of the courses studied.

There will be a mandatory examination at the end of semester which will contribute to 60% of the final assessment grade.

The Research Project/ Practicum will constitute 100% of the final mark. Candidates will be required to undertake the research project or practicum for a full semester
