Description
Strengthening governance is about changing mind-sets of people in leadership positions and helping them recognise and accept their role in leading community driven development. The Community Development worker has a pivotal role in helping people in governance positions to understand the principles and practices of good governance. They facilitate leaders to rethink their roles and relationships to the community; and develop new skills (planning, decision-making, monitoring, negotiating, problem solving, and conflict resolution) to support their leadership roles and ways of operating. This course helps Community Development workers to train community leaders on various governance skills as well as supporting them to play their roles effectively.
